Tiny Tots Kindergarten

In 2025, the Living Music Foundation implemented a structured music training program at Js Tiny Tots Kindergarten as part of its ongoing initiative to promote early childhood music education. The program aimed to introduce young learners to the fundamentals of music through piano instruction, singing, and rhythm-based activities designed to enhance both cognitive and creative development.
Under the supervision of qualified music instructors, the children received hands-on training that emphasised foundational musical concepts, fine motor coordination, and auditory awareness. The sessions were carefully tailored to suit the developmental stages of early learners, ensuring that each child could participate actively and progress at an appropriate pace.

The collaboration between the Living Music Foundation and Js Tiny Tots reflects a shared commitment to fostering artistic growth and nurturing musical potential among young children. Through this training, the Foundation continues to uphold its mission of expanding access to quality music education and inspiring a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.

Living Music Foundation Training Partnership with Kabatereine Memorial School – 2025
In 2025, the Living Music Foundation strengthened its commitment to expanding access to quality music education through a training partnership with Kabatereine Memorial Primary School. This collaboration aimed to integrate structured music instruction into the school’s co-curricular activities, providing learners with an opportunity to develop essential musical and artistic skills from an early age.

Through this partnership, pupils at Kabatereine Memorial School participated in regular piano and general music training sessions led by Foundation instructors. The program focused on developing rhythm, melody recognition, and performance confidence while introducing students to the fundamentals of musical literacy and creative expression.
The initiative also served as a platform for discovering and nurturing young talent within the school community. Teachers received guidance on how to support ongoing musical growth, ensuring that the impact of the program extends beyond classroom instruction.
Program Outcomes
The partnership produced significant positive outcomes, including improved student engagement, increased confidence in performance, and a stronger appreciation for music within the school environment. Several pupils showcased their progress during school assemblies and special events, demonstrating both technical skill and artistic expression.

In addition, the collaboration fostered community involvement, as parents and teachers recognized the value of early music education in shaping creativity, discipline, and teamwork among learners.
This partnership underscores the Living Music Foundation’s mission to promote sustainable music education across schools and communities. By collaborating with institutions such as Kabatereine Memorial School, the Foundation continues to inspire the next generation of musicians and foster a deeper appreciation for the performing arts in Uganda.
Music Collaboration at St. Paul’s Kindergarten & Primary School, Lyantonde – November 2025

The Living Music Foundation (LMF), in partnership with Disan Kato (The Musician), was invited by the Director of St. Paul’s Kindergarten and Primary School in Lyantonde to create an exciting musical experience for the school’s end‑of‑year Parents’ Day celebration.
LMF and Disan Kato were tasked with composing four original songs—one for each of the school houses. Each song was crafted to reflect the identity of the school, appreciate the parents for their efforts, the good things the children enjoy while at the school and to thank God for the blessings of the school and its Directors, ensuring that the children could connect with the music they would eventually perform.
Training the Children
After the composition stage, the LMF team travelled and worked closely with the pupils to teach them the songs and prepare them for a live performance. The training process involved:
- Vocal rehearsal
- Performance Choreography
- Rhythm and coordination exercises
- Building confidence for a live audience
- Training to sing and perform alongside the band on the microphones

The children demonstrated enthusiasm, discipline, and immense talent throughout the preparation period.
Live Performance with The Vessels Band
On Parents’ Day, the pupils performed their songs live as The Vessels band accompanied them instrumentally. The combination of children’s voices and the band’s live instrumentation created a vibrant and memorable experience for parents, staff, and guests.
The performances were a success, showcasing not only the musical abilities of the students but also the power of collaboration between schools and creative arts organizations like LMF.
Impact of the Project
This initiative gave pupils a chance to:
- Experience professional music training
- Perform confidently on stage
- Express creativity through song and movement
- Work together as house teams
LMF remains committed to nurturing young talent across Uganda and providing platforms that encourage artistic growth.
