Living Music Foundation
Mission and Purpose
Living Music Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to offering music education and opportunities to children, youth, and communities in Mbarara and surrounding areas — especially those who are economically or socially disadvantaged.
The idea is that music can do more than entertain: LMF believes music helps build self-esteem, hope, discipline, community pride, and positive life direction.
Their programs include free lessons in instruments (guitar, piano/keyboard, drums), vocal training, and teaching music in various settings — not just at a central studio, but through outreach (“field work”) to communities, schools, children’s-homes, orphanages and other underserved places.
Through this, LMF aims to give youths a chance to discover and develop musical talent, which can open pathways for personal development and potentially livelihood opportunities.
Our projects generate funds from:
- Regular Fundraising campaigns through Vessels Band Performances
